In this Customizing activity, you configure process models for MDG, consolidation and mass processing. This configuration is required if you extend fields or nodes of the data model, or if you use your own business object type.

For information about how to extend fields and nodes, see SAP Note 1973686.

In the standard delivery, process models for the following business object types are preconfigured:

Business Partner 147

  • The data model includes tables for business partner, customer, and supplier.
  • The validationuses ERP checks.
  • Records can be activatedwith master data governance, using change requests and cleansing cases or can be activated directly.

Business Partner Relationship 1405

  • The data model includes tables for business partner relationship.
  • The validationuses ERP checks.
  • Records can be activatedwith master data governance, using change requests or can be activated directly.

Business Partner: Non-SAP-BS MDC_147

  • The data model includes tables for business partner, customer, and supplier.
  • The validationdoes not use ERP checks.
  • This BO type is intended for analytical use cases, where the resulting business partners are not intended to be used in ERP processes.

Material 194

  • The data model includes tables for material.
  • The validationuses ERP checks.
  • Records can be activatedwith master data governance, using change requests or can be activated directly.

The standard delivery also contains the combined process for business partner and business partner relationship (Business Partner including Relationships 986).

To configure the process model, proceed as described:

  1. To see the tables that are assigned to the business object for the consolidation process, select the business object type and choose Tables.
  2. To add customer specific tables, select New Entries
Only tables listed under a specific business object type are taken into account in the consolidation process. One table is marked as the Roottable.
  1. In the Tablesview you can specify further settings for the customer specific tables:
  • For tables that are relevant for process data, set the Processindicator.

  • If you want a table to omit the rules for the best record calculation, set the Omit Rules indicator

  • If you want a table to be hidden on the UI, set the Hidden indicator

  • If you want a table to have a certain Deletion Stance, use the input help to select a value.

  1. In the Tablesview, select a specific table and choose Joinsto see the joined tables.
  2. To add further tables, select New Entries
The Processcheckbox and the Activecheckbox indicate whether a table is used in the process data model or in the active data model. The process data model can differ from the active data model. For example, the process data model can be normalized or not all active tables are relevant.
  1. In the Joinsview, select a table and choose Join Fieldsto see the join conditions.
If required select New Entries to add further fields to join the tables. The Processcheckbox and the Activecheckbox indicate whether a field is used in the process data model or in the active data model. The process data model can differ from the active data model. For example, the process data model can be normalized or not all active fields are relevant.
  1. In the Table Fields view you can specify settings for the fields of the customer specific tables.
  • If you want data changes that occur during the execution of a process step not to be displayed on the UI, set the Technical indicator.

  • If you want a field to be read-only on the standard Fiori UI, set the Read-only indicator.

No changes such as Replace Valuesin the details UI are permitted.
  • If you want a field to be used in the dropdown list as selection criteria on the mass processing UI, set the Selective indicator.

  • If you want a field to be hidden on the UI, set the Hidden indicator.

The corresponding column is not displayed in the details screen and the field does not appear in the field selection dialog box.
To reset the field settings to the state as delivered choose Reset to defaults.

To maintain the combined process for business partner and business partner relationship proceed as described:

  • Under Suites select the Business Partner including Relationships entry and choose Models.

After changing the configuration, you must clear the cache. To do so, mark the corresponding BO type and choose Reset Cache.
