In this IMG activity, you can define event profiles to model logical dependencies of events during load and discharge operations. In the highest node, you can define nomination event codes to determine TD events that can be used in the event profile.

The event profile allows you to group event types and assign these groups of event types to a nomination type.

Under Event Profile / Event type Assignment, you can assign event types that you have defined under Nomination Event Codes to a certain event profile. The Prerequisite Checks field and the Subsequent Events field can include BAdI methods (filter values) from BAdI: Define Event Prerequisite Check or BAdI: Define Subsequent Event Routine. These allow you to process settings for prerequisites and subsequent events that are different to those in Customizing.

Under Prerequisites Events and status, you can define prerequisite events and statuses for specific events that are assigned to the event profile.

Under Event Subsequent Event and Statuses, you can define subsequent events and statuses for specific events that are assigned to the event profile.

When a marine vessel is to be loaded, the ship's master must send the notice of readiness (NOR) to the loading terminal. This is a prerequisite to allow the ship to dock at a berth: Event All fast (ALLF). The jetty services can only start after the ship is all fast. The hose is then connected and the loading process begins: Event Hose connection (HOCO).

Customizing for this example:

  • Event ALLF has status Completed and the prerequisite event NOR has status Completed.
System response in nomination: When the scheduler wants to set the status of event ALLF to Completed, the prerequisite (event NOR has status Completed) is checked. If the prerequisite is not fulfilled, an error message appears.
  • Event ALLF has status Completed and the subsequent event Jetty Services (JS) has status In process, or event ALLF has status Error and the subsequent event JS has status Error.
System response in nomination: When the scheduler sets the status of event ALLF to Completed, the status of subsequent event JS is set to In process. When the scheduler sets the status of event ALLF to Error the subsequent event JS is set to Error.
  • Event JS has status Completed and the subsequent event HOCO has status In process.
System response in nomination: When the scheduler sets the status of event JS to Completed, the subsequent event HOCO is set to In process.
  • Event HOCO has status In process, prerequisite event ALLF has status Completed, or event NOR has status Completed.
System response in nomination: When the scheduler wants to set the status of event HOCO to In process, the prerequisites (event NOR has status Completed or ALLF has status Completed) are checked. If the prerequisites are not fulfilled, an error message appears.
