Use this configuration activity to define language profile for POS and include the necessary languages in the Language Profile.

Language profile for POS is used to group together one or more languages for sending information to your POS system. For example, article descriptions (maintained in Basic Data View of Article Master) and Till-receipt text descriptions (maintained in POS view of Article Master). You can also enable one or more languages as preferred languages in a language profile by selecting Organizational Unit Preference checkbox.

Enabling languages as preferred languages need to be done in conjunction with settings maintained for the messages having category (error, warning, or information) in Maintain Message Category for POS Outbound.

Let us consider a scenario where language 'DE' is selected as organization unit preference in the language profile and article description is not maintained in German language. If the message is configured in table Message Control: Purchasing (System Messages) (T160M) as 'error', then the article is excluded in the generated XML. If message is configured as warning or information, then the article is included in the generated XML.
