VC_TXS_ACTIVATION - Activate the Integration of External Tax Calculation Engines for Procedures
BAL_S_LOG - Application Log: Log header data CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES - Frontend ServicesThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Define for which tax and pricing procedures the system calls the integration with an external tax calculation engine.
In this configuration step you define for which tax and pricing procedures the system calls the integration with an external tax calculation engine. You define this in the External Tax Calculation Engine Integration screen.
If the procedure is not listed or if the external tax calculation engine is not active for that procedure, the system uses the native engine for tax calculation.
Optionally, you can define special rules where you can specify the following:
- Deactivate the external tax calculation engine integration by selecting Internal Engine in the Calculation Engine field.
- Define routing keys that can help you to determine to which external calculation engine the system sends the tax calculation.
In the context of a procedure, you can determine special rules for a whole country/region or for specific company codes within a country/region.
The system applies the special rules prioritizing from the most specific to the less specific. See an example:
You have activated the integration with external tax calculation engines for procedure 0TXCAJ and configured the following special rules for this procedure:
Country/Region Key | Company Code | Calculation Engine | Ext.Engine Routing Key | ||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
CA | 2910 | Internal Engine | - | ||
CA | - | External Engine | TAXPARTNER-1 |
During a business transaction for Canada that uses this procedure, we have two possible outcomes:
- If the company code is 2910 the system uses the SAP S/4HANA internal calculation engine.
- If the company code is anything different, the system calls the external tax calculation engine providing the TAX-PARTNER1 as routing key.
Before adding new entries to the External Tax Calculation Engine Integration screen, complete the following steps:
- In the condition types that represent taxes, add the line for the condition type TXSCand the condition formula 279.
- Map Tax Results to Condition Types (Sales Pricing Procedure).
- Map S/4HANA Tax Codes to External Tax Codes.
- Map Tax Results to Condition Types (Tax Procedure).
