VFPRCVC_TREE_DTLS - Exchange Delivered Detail Area

In this Customizing activity, for the Pricing Elements: Tree view, you can define the delivered detail area that is to be exchanged with a custom detail area. You can define one or more custom detail areas to be exchanged for a delivered detail area. If you want to display for different users different custom detail areas, you should assign profiles to these entries.

Copy Delivered Detail Area and Define Custom Detail Area

For each delivered area that you would like to be exchanged, you have to copy a corresponding entry and fill the following fields to define a custom area:

• Program Name (Custom)

• Screen (Custom)

• Header Text (Custom)

Assign Profiles

To exchange a single delivered detail area, you can define several custom detail areas. To determine at runtime which of the custom detail areas is to be displayed, you can assign profiles to these entries.

If a profile is assigned, the custom detail area is only displayed for users matching this profile. For users that do not match the assigned profile, the delivered detail area is displayed.

If you have defined several custom detail areas for one delivered detail area and these custom detail areas have the same profile, at runtime, the system uses the first entry in the data base.

• Your custom area must technically be a screen of type Subscreen.

• If you want to access current pricing data, you also have to implement the BAdI PRC_CUSTOM_SCREEN_BADI.

• If you want to assign profiles, you must have defined them in Customizing activity Define Profile.

Copy Delivered Detail Area and Define Custom Detail Area

To define the delivered detail area to be exchanged with the custom detail area, do the following:

1. To copy one or more delivered detail areas, in the navigation area, choose a pricing element type, such as Condition.
2. On the right side, select one or more entries and then choose Copy As.
3. To define the custom detail area, enter values in the Program Name (Custom) field and in the Screen (Custom) field.
4. Choose ENTER and save your settings.

Assign Profiles

To assign profiles to a custom detail area, do the following:

1. Select an entry of the previous step.
2. Choose Profiles.
3. Choose New Entries.
4. Enter one or more Profile IDs (Profile Identifier).
5. Save your settings.
