Assign posting specifications to update types that are relevant to posting.

In this step, you assign a set of posting specifications to an update type. These posting specifications are then applied for this update type in all the valuation areas. Two posting specifications can be defined for one update type using the Payment Transaction indicator. This enables you to define both a subledger posting and a bank or G/L account posting for an update type.

  • You have defined your update types.
  • You have indicated the update types as relevant to posting.
  • You have defined all relevant posting specifications.

The settings are preconfigured. You can adapt these settings to your needs.
