VLC_GET_VHCLE_NUMBER - BAdI: Influence Internal Vehicle No. (VHCLE) When Creating Vehicles

You can use an individual logic to influence the internal vehicle number with BAdI VLC_GET_VHCLE_NUMBER. For example, you can assign different number ranges to different vehicle models.

Note: The logic that you use during the BAdI implementation has to ensure that the internal vehicle numbers assigned are unique! You can use the customer-specific number range for this purpose.

The BAdI has the method GET_VHCLE_NUMBER with the following parameters:

• VLCDIAVEHI_IS: dialog structure with vehicle data

• VHCLE_EV: internal vehicle number generated by the customer

Note: The vehicle individual search adds zeros to the beginning of the internal vehicle number that the user enters. If you want to use the BAdI, you must ensure that the vehicle individual search still functions. There are two options for this:

• The internal vehicle number determined in BAdI VLC_GET_VHCLE_NUMBER must contain leading zeros.

• In method VEHICLE_SINGLE_SEARCH of BAdI VLC_USER_INTERFACE, remove leading zeros that are automatically added from the vehicle individual search.
