Define values to display details of a bill of material or product structure.

In this Customizing, you define the value to display the structure of an object type in the Source panel. The object type can be a bill of material or product structure.

You can select any one of the following predefined values for displaying the structure of an object type in the Source panel:

  • Item Number
  • Component
  • Component Description

Note

By default, the value for bill of material is component and for product structure is item number. You cannot create any new entries in the table.

If you choose item number as the value type for a bill of material, the structure of the bill of material in the Source panel is represented with only item numbers.
