In this Customizing activity, you configure visibility control parameters that can be used with any custom filter in VEMP. This configuration lets you customize the color and visibility of the filtered nodes (BOM items) in the tree and graphics viewport in all three panels (source, working, and target panel).

You can customize:

  • Color, highlighting, and opacity of filtered nodes in the tree
  • Color and opacity of the 3D visual of filtered nodes in the graphics viewport
  • Whether the 3D visual of filtered nodes is to be shown or hidden

You save each set of visibility control parameters under a unique control ID. To implement a custom filter, you need to create a BAdI implementation with logic that determines which control ID and associated parameters are to be used for the filtered nodes. For more information, see BAdI: Visibility Filter.

SAP ships visibility control parameters for the following control IDs by default:

  • INEFFECTIVITY
  • OUTEFFECTIVITY

These control IDs contain the predefined configuration for the standard Parameter Effectivity (PARAMEFF) filter (see also Define Visibility Filters).
