You use this IMG activity to maintain the equipment templates for each vehicle model of which you would like to do the vehicle replication. As per the assignment, while creating vehicles in SAP DVH, the listed equipment templates will be available to pass the values for vehicle-related attributes.

Custom Template Mapping:

Here you map each field value of the vehicle to corresponding equipment template/attribute group/attribute combination. For example, if equipment template ET1has an attribute group AG1and attribute engine_type. Also assume that in VMS, the engine type comes from characteristic C_engine_type of the variant class VC1associated to vehicle model M1.

In the above customizing, the vehicle model M1is mapped to equipment template ET1as follows:

Equipment template:,,ET1

Object type:,,,,,,300 (variant class)

Object name:,,,,VC1

Source attribute:,,,,C_engine_type

Target attribute group: ,,AG1

Target attribute:,,,,engine_type

In the above case, whenever a vehicle of model M1is created, the values of C_engine_typewill be assigned to the attribute engine_type.

Note: Equipment template, target attribute group and target attribute are case-sensitive and should be maintained exactly in the same manner as in SAP DVH.

Standard Template Mapping:

This takes care of mapping the pre-delivered standard equipment template of SAP DVH with vehicle attributes. Here you can only assign those attributes that are part of standard template DVH_ET_VEHICLE_SPECIFICATION. This must be assigned to vehicle model in order to do this mapping:

Object type:,,,,,,300 (variant class)

Object name:,,,,VC1

Source attribute:,,,,C_color

Target attribute:,,,,DVH_INTERIOR_COLOR

Status Mapping:

This takes care of mapping the status-relevant vehicle fields to target attribute. For example, if primary status needs to be sent to SAP DVH, the following entry must me made where primary status is an attribute existing in SAP DVH/AIN:

Object type:,,,,,,VEH(vehicle)

Object name:,,,,VLCVEHICLE

Source attribute:,,,,MMSTA

Target attribute:,,,,Primary_status

Requirements

  1. In the maintenance view for Vehicle Model to Equipment Template Mapping, maintain the Equipment Template and Vehicle Modelfields for a custom template. Then save the entries.

Select the maintained entry and double-click the maintenance view Custom Mapping b/w Vehicle Attr. and DVH Attr.to maintain Target Template, Source Object Type, Source Object Name, Source Attribute, Target Attribute Groupand Target Attributefields. Then save the entries.
  2. In the maintenance view for Vehicle Model to Equipment Template Mapping, maintain the Equipment Template and Vehicle Modelfields for a standard template. Then save the entries.

Select the maintained entry and double click on the maintenance view, Standard Mapping b/w Vehicle Attr. and DVH Attr. to maintain Source Object Type, Source Object Name, Source Attributeand Target Attributefields. Then save the entries.
  3. In the maintenance view for Mapping for Vehicle Status, maintain the Source Object Type, Source Object Name, Source Attributeand Target Attributefields. Then save the entries.

Users should note that creating a vehicle of a specified vehicle model will create an equipment on SAP Digital Vehicle Hub with reference to the mentioned equipment template, assuming that the given equipment template already exists in SAP Digital Vehicle Hub.
