In this customizing activity, you can set the value of the Check monthly NPS contribution (CMNPS) payroll constant. The constant holds the value based on which the system decides whether it should consider the monthly NPS contribution or not for the employee if the total contribution is less than the limit.

  1. Enter one of the below values in the Value field for the payroll constant:
    1. 0 – The system checks the sum of EE NPS Contrib Amount (/3FU) and Er NPS Contrib Amount (/3FS) wage types and compares it with the value stored in Monthly NPS Contribution Limit (MNNPS) payroll constant. If the sum is less than the value stored in Monthly NPS Contribution Limit (MNNPS) payroll constant, a warning message is displayed indicating that the total NPS contribution is below the monthly limit and annual limit and the employee and employer NPS contribution are considered for payroll calculations.
    2. 1 – The system checks the sum of EE NPS Contrib Amount (/3FU) and Er NPS Contrib Amount (/3FS) wage types and compares it with the value stored in Monthly NPS Contribution Limit (MNNPS) payroll constant. If the sum is less than the value stored in Monthly NPS Contribution Limit (MNNPS) payroll constant, the system ignores the employee and employer NPS contribution and sets the EE NPS Contrib Amount (/3FU) and Er NPS Contrib Amount (/3FS) wage types to 0. In other words, if the employee and employer NPS contribution together is less than the monthly NPS contribution limit, it is not considered for payroll calculations. The system considers the employee and employer NPS contribution only if both together is equal to or greater than the Monthly NPS Contribution Limit (MNNPS).
  2. Save your entry.
