In this Customizing activity, you can switch on or switch off synchronous declustering to the tables specific to Time Evaluation clusters and RELIDs. You can also specify a database connection. The database connection is configured in transaction DBCO (Description of Database Connections).

Note

By default, the Switch Off setting is activated. During this setting, any changes made to the cluster table are not updated synchronously to the corresponding declustered transparent tables.

You have activated the business function HCM, Declustering Tools(HCM_LOC_CI_50).

If you switch on synchronous declustering, it is recommended that you do not to switch it off again. This is because switching off synchronous declustering may lead to inconsistent data between cluster tables and transparent tables.

Note

If you want to switch off the setting, you need to rerun the report RPTDCT_INITIAL_LOAD_B2 to reload the data into the transparent tables in a consistent manner.

Assume that you need to Switch On the synchronous updates for the declustering table. You enter the following details:

  • Table - PCL2
  • RELID - B2
  • DB Connection name - Empty
  • Switch Option - Switch On: Synchronous declustering
