V_CRMC_MKTSC_BW - Define Scenario-Based BI Analyses

In this IMG activity you determine which analyses from the SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (SAP NetWeaver BI) component are available in scenarios. You use these analyses to compare the planning figures for marketing projects or scenarios. Additionally, you can use analyses that include accrual model calculations, to take account of revenues and expenses that you expect to receive in the future.

In this IMG activity, you also make settings that the system uses to construct the URL for retrieving the results of the analysis.

If you do not do this IMG activity, you cannot use SAP NetWeaver BI analyses in scenarios, and consequently you cannot use accrual model calculations.

You have set up a connection to an SAP NetWeaver BI component, and have created or identified the analyses in this system.

You have done the IMG activity Define Versions. In this IMG activity you have defined a version number for the inactive marketing projects, so that they are excluded from normal, non-scenario-planning reporting in the SAP NetWeaver BI component (for example, a report that sums up your annual budget).

If you want to use an accrual model calculation in an analysis, go to the Scenario Planning: BW Query Assignment: Details screen for the analysis, and select the Flag checkbox (uses accruals = true).

Activate the updating of data to the SAP NetWeaver BI component for scenarios and scenario sets, in the IMG activity Activate Update in SAP BI.
