In this IMG activity, you determine which user statuses are used to qualify a marketing project as being part of the committed projects. The table in this IMG activity table contains all the user statuses that you can use for this purpose.

The committed projects comprise all marketing projects that have reached a certain status in their life cycle and are likely to be carried out very soon. For this reason, the system includes all the committed projects in every scenario. You cannot remove committed marketing projects from any scenario, whether it is operative or alternative. The system displays marketing projects that are part of the committed projects as Committed in scenarios.

The system automatically sets a marketing project to Committed when the project has a particular combination of user status and system status. You determine what this combination is by selecting the user status in this IMG activity, and the system status in the IMG activity Define System Status. Both IMG activities, Define System Status and Define User Status, fill the same database table.

You have created a status profile for marketing (for example, for campaigns). You do this in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management, by choosing Marketing -> Marketing Planning and Campaign Management -> General Settings -> Define Status Profile for User Status.
