In this IMG activity, you define versions of your plan data to be kept as a record or "snapshot". For example, you can define that you have a version of the plan data at the point when the trade promotion, campaign, or account plan was approved or released. The trigger for creating this version is the system or user status for a campaign or promotion.

These versions can then be used in reporting to compare the various stages of your marketing activities.

Renaming of versions

Please note that when renaming projects, only the corresponding active versions of the plan data are renamed. Existing snapshot versions are not renamed.

Example: For marketing project MP01, the active version MP01/0000000000 and a snapshot version MP01/0000000001 exist. When renaming the project to MP02, the active version will be renamed to MP02/0000000000. The snapshot version, however, will retain its old identification MP01/0000000001.
