In this IMG activity, you define the type of authorization check that the system applies to the Employee responsible field in an account plan. The check is an important part of the authorization concept in account plans.

There are three types of check:

  • No check
If you choose this setting, there are no authorization checks in account plans. This means that any user can create an account plan for any customer.
  • PPR check
This check uses partner/product ranges (PPRs) to validate if a employee responsible has a valid PPR. If the PPR is not valid, it is not possible to save the account plan.
Note: The PPR functionality in account plans will not be developed any further in future releases.
  • Territory check
This check uses territory management to validate if a employee responsible is authorized to create an account plan for a particular planning customer. If the employee responsible is not authorized, it is not possible to save the account plan.
We recommend that you select this setting if you want to use listings in general.

We recommend that you use PPRs or listings consistently in account planning and in sales order management.

Choose either No check, PPR check, or Territory check.

  • If you choose PPR check, you must do the IMG activities for PPRs under Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data -> Product/Partner Range.
  • If you choose Territory check, you must do the IMG activities for territory management under Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data -> Territory Management.

Note: The fields Responsibility PPR and PPR Check are relevant only if you choose PPR check in the Resp. Check field. If you choose No check or Territory check, the Responsibility PPR and PPR Check fields have no effect on the system (even though the fields are still visible).
