You can define the date difference tolerance between the value date and the posting date to decide whether the value date of an accounting document line item needs to be reviewed and corrected.

This configuration is to define the date difference tolerance between Value Date (BSEG-VALUT) and Posting Date (BKPF-BUDAT) to decide whether the Value Date of an accounting document line item needs to be reviewed and corrected.

Transaction date of cash flows in One Exposure (FQM_FLOW-TRANSACTION_DATE) is mapped from Planning Date (BSEG-FDTAG) which is calculated from Value Date. This means invalid Value Date causes improper transaction date of cash flows. Cash related apps based on One Exposure may have incorrect balance or forecast due to the improper date.

  • Invalid value date is likely to result from the following reasons:
  • Manual input typo, such as the year 2202 instead of 2022, or MM.DD.YYYY instead of DD.MM.YYYY
  • Invalid format from data import
  • Empty value
  • Other

You can define a date difference tolerance on Company Code and House Bank or change existing ones.

  • Company Code

It is mandatory.

  • House Bank

Empty value is allowed, meaning to be applied for all House Bank in a Company Code. Record having House Bank value is matched with priority.

  • Tolerance of Date Difference

Date difference is between Posting Date and Value Date or Planning Date. If date difference is beyond the tolerance, no matter earlier or later, the Value Date or Planning Date is regarded as invalid.

The configuration contains following records:

Company Code House Bank Tolerance of Date Difference
0001 DB1 30
0001   45

There are accounting document line items as follows:

Company Code Doc. Number Fiscal Year Line Item House Bank Posting Date Value Date
0001 0000000001 2022 001 DB1 01.01.2022 15.01.2022
