Use this step to define the sequence of tax advisor and tax accountant relationships.

Such relationships comprise the following elements:

  • Contract account
  • Contract object
  • Revenue type
  • Activity type

When one of the elements in a relationship is generic (empty), the relationship itself is considered as generic. The generic level is defined as the number of the elements marked as generic - the more elements are generic, the more generic the relationship itself.

More generic relationships have lower priority relationship searches.

The sequence defined here only changes the order of relationships with the same generic level when they are read using the interface (function module: FMCA_BUPR_TA2_READ). The enterprise services and other solutions that used tax advisor and tax accountant relationships using that interface make use of the sequence.

If no sequence is defined, the following sequence is applied:

  1. Revenue Type
  2. Activity Type
  3. Contract Account
  4. Contract Object

The sequence defined here does not affect the relationship maintenance part of the taxpayer overview.

There are five relationships in the system ("X" used below indicates a generic field)).

  • BP1 BP2 CA1 X RT ACT
  • BP1 BP2 X CO1 RT ACT
  • BP1 BP2 CA1 CO1 RT X
  • BP1 BP2 CA1 CO1 X ACT
  • BP1 BP2 X X RT ACT

As the last entry here contains two generic fields while all the others contain only one, that entry takes the lower priority despite the sequence defined here.

With the default sequence, the output order of those five relationships is as follows:

  • BP1 BP2 CA1 CO1 RT X
  • BP1 BP2 CA1 CO1 X ACT
  • BP1 BP2 CA1 X RT ACT
  • BP1 BP2 X CO1 RT ACT
  • BP1 BP2 X X RT ACT
