SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you define additional navigation settings. For every application that is relevant for navigation, an entry in this Customizing activity is required.

You can do the following:

  • You can specify the navigation settings for views or subviews of the work center using the Target Component, Target View, and Target Plug fields (relevant for instance SCOPE).
  • You can define the dynamic navigation of the system by the settings you make in the Link Provider field.

You have maintained a launchpad identified by role and instance, containing one or more applications that are identified by an application alias.

Note:

If you have defined a new launchpad role, you must assign the object context in the following Customizing activities depending on the instance:

SAP delivers a complete default configuration, but you can enhance or modify the standard setup.

The following instances in the launchpad are in the standard delivery for SAP Portfolio and Project Management:

  • DASH: Instance for buttons in the toolbar of the dashboard
When you add applications to this launchpad instance, the toolbar contains single-function buttons. When you add one-level folder structures, the toolbar contains buttons with a triangular symbol that offer you various selection options.
  • DASH_REL: For this instance, the same applies to the dashboard of related items as mentioned above for the DASH instance.
  • DRILLDOWN: Instance for navigation from the dashboard to the detail screen
  • DRILLDOWN_REL: Instance for navigation from the dashboard of related items to the detail screen
  • SCOPE: Instance for views and subviews of the work center
Each application in this launchpad instance represents a view, and each folder represents a radiobutton. The folder's application alias refers to the launchpad role of the view/subview structure underneath.
  • YCA: Instance for the You Can Also menu
  • OIF: Instance for the toolbar on detail screens
When you add applications to this launchpad instance, the toolbar contains single-function buttons. When you add one-level folder structures, the toolbar contains buttons with a triangular symbol that offer you various selection options.
  • SAVE: Instance for saving
This instance is only applied when an object is created and then saved. It does not apply to subsequent updates of already existing objects.

In addition to the standard delivery, you can use the WORKCENTER instance for buttons in the work center toolbar.
