V_LMDCOMIGRPMTYP - Assign Inventory Groups to Material Types

In this Customizing activity, you can assign inventory groups to material types and optionally to item categories. You can specify a default inventory group to be used when products of a specific material type are recorded at check-out, at check-in, and in document items.

• You have defined inventory groups in the Customizing activity Define Inventory Groups.

• You have defined material types in the Customizing activity Define Attributes of Material Types.

• You have defined item categories in the Customizing activity Define Item Categories.

Select a material type and, optionally, an item category; then select the inventory group you want to assign. To specify a default inventory group for a material type, select Default.

Note

You can only specify one default inventory group for the same material type and item category.
