In this Customizing activity, you can assign sales order types and delivery types to mobile transactions. A mobile transaction is used when a driver changes or creates a document on a mobile device during route execution, for example, an additional sale or an unplanned return.

You must assign a sales order type (Sales & Distribution) to each mobile transaction. The assigned sales order type can be used to, for example, determine a pricing procedure or a listing procedure.

Optionally, you can specify the sales area to have multiple sales areas for the same mobile transaction.

Note: If you specify a sales area, you must specify a sales organization, a distribution channel, and a division; otherwise, you cannot save your changes.

Optionally, you can set the Default Values indicator to specify the default sales order type, when more than one sales order type exists for the same mobile transaction (and/or for the same sales area). When a driver selects a mobile transaction to create a new document on the mobile device, this is the default sales order type that is assigned to the new document.

After you have made all relevant settings, you must download the settings to the mobile device by the OData service Mobile Data for Last Mile Distribution (LMD_MA).

Note: Before assigning sales order types to mobile transactions, you must first define the mobile transactions in the Customizing activity Define Mobile Transactions.

  • You have defined the mobile transactions in the Customizing activity Define Mobile Transactions.
  • You have defined the delivery types in the Customizing activity Define Delivery Types.
  • You have defined the sales order types in Sales.
  • You have defined the sales area globally in the system, if you specify the sales area.
