In this Customizing activity, you can define mobile document number prefixes for each mobile document number type.

Optionally, you can define prefixes by sales area by entering values in the following fields:

  • Sales organization
  • Distribution channel
  • Division

However, these fields are not mandatory. To create sales-area-independent prefixes with the assigned offset from the document number type, leave all the above-mentioned fields empty.

If you fill out only one or two sales area fields, you are not able to save your changes.

You have defined mobile document number types in the Customizing activity Define Mobile Document Number Types for Document Numbers.

Based on the configuration of the prefixes and the document number types, you can use the OData service Mobile Data for Last Mile Distribution (LMD_MA) to use unique number ranges.

You can freely define mobile document number prefixes.

The following examples show possible mobile document number prefixes:

  • Sales organization (SO)
  • Delivery (DL)
