In this Customizing activity, you can define additional parameters and values for the settlement process. You can assign only one value to one parameter.

The parameter REUSE_PACKGG_MATL_PROD_ATTR_ID is needed to identify reusable packaging materials such as crates containing other products such as bottles. This unique mapping is used for the reusable packaging material calculation at check-in, and the difference determination in the Settle Route Data app and also during the settlement process. The system might need to remove a reusable packaging material from a sales order, depending on the unit of measure (UoM) of the sold product and whether the product is bound to a reusable packaging material.

The parameter HDR_COND_TYPE_TO_ZERO_DISCOUNT is needed to specify a sales order header condition. During route settlement, this condition is added to the headers of sales orders that already existed when settlement started and that are relevant for omnichannel sales promotions in sales orders. The parameter suppresses promotion pricing but saves promotion data that was assigned to the order before settlement. If the parameter is not maintained, no default value is used. Do not leave the value field empty because this will cause an error.

To define a custom intermediate settlement process, you can specify a name for the work package building step in Customizing for Logistics Execution under Last Mile Distribution -> Process Configuration. In this case, you have to specify a custom process step name as value for the parameter CREATE_WORKPACKAGES_STEP_NAME. If the parameter is not maintained, the value CREATE_WORKPACKAGES is used. Do not leave the value field empty because this will cause an error.

For the parameter REUSE_PACKGG_MATL_PROD_ATTR_ID:

You have specified which product attribute number in the sales area Sales: Sales Org. Data 2 represents a reusable packaging material for the settlement process. You do this in transaction MM01 - Create Material or transaction MM02 - Change Material by selecting an option in the Product Attributes section. Product attribute numbers are used to characterize a product, for example, by assigning a product attribute to the parameter value REUSE_PACKGG_MATL_PROD_ATTR_ID to classify the product as a reusable packaging material.

For the parameter REUSE_PACKGG_MATL_PROD_ATTR_ID:

Add the parameter REUSE_PACKGG_MATL_PROD_ATTR_ID and assign a value between 1 and 10 to the parameter.

For the parameter REUSE_PACKGG_MATL_PROD_ATTR_ID:

You want to use the Product Attribute 7 to classify products as reusable packaging material. In the Customizing activity Define Additional Settlement Parameters, you add a parameter with the name REUSE_PACKGG_MATL_PROD_ATTR_ID and the value 7.

A customer orders a product with the UoM crate, that is, a crate holding 9 bottles. For this product, there is a bill of material (BOM) that lists the empty bottles and the empty crate (reusable packaging material). To indicate that the empty crate is the reusable packaging material holding the bottles, in the material master records (transaction MM01 or MM02), you select the option Product Attribute 7.

As a result, during the settlement process, the system checks which product attribute is assigned to the parameter. Thus, the system can identify which products are reusable packaging materials.
