V_MDC_CONFIG_EVA - Configure Evaluation

In this Customizing activity, you configure the adapter for data quality evaluation.

Within the process step rule evaluation, the data quality of the active data is classified by executing BRFplus rules for each data set in each table supported by the MDC model.

The process step rule evaluation can only be used in processes having the process goal Q (Data Quality Evaluation).

In the Customizing activity Specify Process Template, you specify whether and in what configuration you use the rule evaluation adapter as part of a process.

1. Select New Entries.

2. Enter a Configuration ID and the corresponding Description.

3. Configure parallelization
The evaluation runs without configuring parallelization. Nevertheless you can configure the number of parallel processes to improve the performance. For more information, see Parallelization in SAP MDG, consolidation.

a.,,In the field Number of Parallel Processes, enter the number of processes you want to be processed in parallel.

b.,,If required enter the Prefix for the Queue Name.

Note: If you use queue prefixes other than MDC_QUEUE_ these must be entered in the Prefix for Queue Name field.

4. You can use the Package Size field to define how many objects can be processed within one package in the evaluation run. If you are encountering timeout issues for your evaluation runs, you can use this setting to reduce the volume of objects to avoid these issues. If you don’t enter a number here, the system uses 500 as the default size.

5. Evaluation Configuration
Set the indicator Provide Scores for Dimensions to include the evaluation in the score calculation for data quality dimensions and dimension categories.

6. Previous Evaluations
Set the indicator Delete Results to remove the results of previous evaluations. Enter the number of evaluations for which results will be kept in the field Evaluations with Retained Results.
