In this optional Customizing activity, you can define the data aging residence time for the period types used for allocation periods in product allocation, thereby separating operationally relevant (hot or current data) from historical (cold) data. This reduces the HANA memory footprint, prevents the processing of historical, operationally irrelevant data and thereby optimizes system performance.
If you do not specify residence times for the individual period types, the following standard residence times will be applied when data aging is executed:

Note that internal sales representatives can display aged product allocation data (allocation periods and quantity assignments) on the Aged Product Allocation Data card in the Product Allocation Overview app, provided the card has been activated in the Manage Cards function in the Me Areaof the SAP Fiori launchpad.
