Restrict authorization of business users regarding price elements in business documents.

In this activity, you can define the access levels that you can use to restrict the authorization of business users, such as internal sales representative, sales manager, and so on, to display or change price elements in business documents.

Follow-up activities:

  • In the Set Pricing Procedureconfiguration activity, you assign the defined access level to a condition type or subtotal in a pricing procedure.
  • Maintain the authorization for the user with authorization object PRCG_ACC.
  • Maintain the authorization for the user in the Maintain Business Role app.

Case 1:
In some manual conditions, you want to prevent internal sales representative from making changes, but allow sales managers to make them. You define access level 1000 for internal sales representatives and access level 4000 for sales managers.

Case 2: In a sales order, some price elements contain confidential information from the company perspective, for example, the internal price or the profit margin. You define access level 4000 for Internal Cost / Margin.
