In this Customizing activity, you specify the calculation exit for the calculation of reductions for social service plan (SSP) types that are enabled for benefit reductions.

The calculation exit can be performed using a BAdI implementation or a BRFplus rule.

  • If you choose a BAdI as a calculation exit strategy, you have to implement the BAdI BADI_PSSC00_GE_RED, which can be found in Customizing for Public Sector Management under Social Services -> Gross Entitlement Calculation -> BAdI: Gross Reduction Calculation.
  • If you choose BRFplus as a calculation exit strategy, you need to specify a BRFplus application and a function within this application.
This function requires the following context objects:
PSSCS_SXP_DATA (with a DDIC connection to the structure PSSCS_SXP_DATA)
ENTITLEMENT_RESULT (with a DDIC connection to the table type PSSCT_GEDITEMCONTENT_REDCALC)
FREQ_TYPE (with a DDIC connection to the data element PSSC_EMNT_FRQ_TYPE)
ECPER_BEGDA (with a DDIC connection to the data element PSSC_DATE)
ECPER_ENDDA (with a DDIC connection to the data element PSSC_DATE)

The resultant object needs to be a structure of the type PSSCS_GE_RESULT_RED.

The system performs certain checks after this reduction calculation has taken place. In particular, the calculation cannot produce gross reduction items, if the reduction amount is greater than the entitlement amount during the entitlement period.

  1. Maintain an entry for each SSP type that is enabled for benefit reductions.
(in SAP CRM Customizing the reduction proposal profile is assigned to the SSP type)
  1. You must also define the tax category for reduction calculations as a BAdI implementation under Define Tax Category for SSP Items.
(this BAdI implementation is mandatory for reduction calculation)
