You can make the system settings that control the creation of stock transfer orders in the app Transfer Productsfor in-store merchandise and inventory management (LO-RFM-STO-FIO).

You can create customizing schemas that contain the basic settings for the app Transfer Products.

To simplify the assignment of the customizing schemas to the sites, one customizing schema is defined as the standard schema. By default, this schema is then called for sites that have not been assigned to a customizing schema.

You can:

  1. Define one or more customizing schemas that match the requirements of the business process or processes used by your sites.
  2. Maintain the basic settings for each customizing schema. The following fields are specific to the Transfer Productsapp:
Document Type for Intracompany Stock Transfer Order (STO)
Specifies the document type used to create intracompany stock transfer orders that are used, for example, to transfer stock from one store to another store with the same company code.
You must use the document type UB or your own copy of this document type.
You must use the document type UD or your own copy of this document type.
You can define your own document types in configuration for Materials Management under Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Define Document Types.
Document Type for Intercompany Stock Transfer Order (STO):
Specifies the document type used to create intercompany stock transfer orders that are used, for example, to transfer stock from a store to a distribution center with a different company code. You must use the document type NB or your own copy of this document type. You can define your own document types in configuration for Materials Management under Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Define Document Types.
Planned Delivery Time in Days to Store:
Defines the delivery time in days planned for the transfer of products from one store to another store. Planned delivery time in days to store field is mandatory and by default set to zero. It influences the calculation of the delivery date displayed in the app as follows:
  • If the field is set to zero, the delivery date will be set to the day of the creation of the transfer.

  • If the field is set to any other value, the delivery date will be set after the defined delivery time.

  • If the calculated delivery date is not a working day in the receiving store, the delivery date is automatically set to the date of the next working day.

Planned Delivery Time in Days to Distribution Center:
Defines the delivery time in days that is planned for the transfer of products from a store to a distribution center. Planned delivery time in days to DC field is optional and by default left empty so that it can be distinguished from the value zero. It influences the calculation of the delivery date displayed in the app as follows:
  • If the field is left empty, the delivery date is calculated according to the minimum planned delivery time of all products in the transfer.

  • If the field is set to zero, the delivery date will be set to the day of the creation of the transfer.

  • If the field is set to any other value, the delivery date will be set after the defined delivery time.

  • If the calculated delivery date is not a working day in the receiving distribution center, the delivery date is automatically set to the date of the next working day.

Packaging Product:
Specifies the packaging product that the system uses to create the handling units of the transfer. In the Transfer Productsapp, all handling units are referred to as boxes irrespective of the type of packaging. To define the default packaging product for these handling units, do the following:
  1. In the material master define the packaging product for the handling units. Enter a product name, select the product type Packaging(VERP) and fill out the remaining fields.
  2. In the field Packaging Product, choose F4 and enter the product type VERP
  3. A list of packaging products is displayed.
  4. Select the packaging product you want to define as default packaging product for the handling units.
RFID Reader Signal Strength:
Specifies the signal strength that is to be used for RFID readers to transfer products.
Last Used Values Enabled:
Defines whether the system proposes the values and settings that were last used to create a new transfer.
  • If the indicator is set, the last used values and settings are proposed.

  • If this indicator is not set, no values or settings are proposed.

  1. Specify which customizing schema is to be used as the standard schema.
  2. You must set the Is Standard indicator, even if you use only one customizing schema.
  3. Assign the customizing schemas to your sites.
You do not need to make an entry for sites that should use the standard customizing schema.
