Select the fields that the service shall use for the value of the generic attribute.

A generic attribute consists of a generic attribute name and a generic attribute value, which comes from a field in a sales order.

In this activity, you can define the field in a sales order that provides the value for the generic attribute by setting the document structure and the document field. The generic attributes are then sent with a price calculation request to the promotion pricing service where a calculation rule exists based on those generic attributes.

With your selection of the attribute type, you can decide whether the generic attribute is sent in the header or item section of the request.

Note: If a field defined for document structure KOMK is expected to be different for several items of a sales order, you must NOT define it for the Header Levelattribute type of the generic attribute but rather for the Item Levelattribute type.

You must have first defined the generic attribute names in the omnichannel promotion pricing service because you must use the same names in omnichannel sales promotions.

With this activity, you can only map the value of one generic attribute to one field. If you want to assign a combination of values to more than one document field, you can define the fields to be used in the following Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) and then implement them:

  • Mapping between Sales and Promotion Pricing Service in Header
  • Mapping between Sales and Promotion Pricing Service in Item.
  1. Choose an identifier of a promotion pricing service (PPS ID).
  2. Enter a generic attribute name that you have already defined in the omnichannel promotion pricing service.
  3. Choose the attribute type:
    1. The header level is related to the transaction level in the service.
    2. The item level is related to the line item level in the service.
Note: Your selection of attribute type restricts the later selection for the document field.
  1. Select a document structure either for header or item.
  2. Select the field from which the promotion pricing service shall take the value during the request.
  3. Decide if initial values shall be sent with the promotion pricing service.
  4. Save your entries.
