Allows you to assign a value chain category to a sales document type, and to select the process relevance for combinations of sales document types and value chain categories.
In this activity, you can assign a value chain category to a sales document type and to select the corresponding process relevance. With these settings, you integrate Sales with value chain monitoring (VCM) to enable, for example, the advanced intercompany sales process.
Depending on the respective value chain category, you can select the following values for the process relevance:

Depending on your setting for the process relevance, the system sets the initiating document automatically.
- Select a sales document type.
- You can choose only sales document type 'C' (order) or 'I' (order without charge) as the sales document type.
- Assign one or more value chain categories that you want to use.
- Note: You can choose the following values:
- Advanced Intercompany Sales Process
- Advanced Intercompany Stock Transfer Process
- Sell from Stock with Valuated Stock in Transit Process
- Select a process relevance.
- Note: After saving, you cannot change this entry anymore.
- The system sets the initiating documentindicator automatically based on the process relevance.
Note the following:
- You can delete an entry only if it's not used in the Customizing activity “Assign Document Type and Item Category to Value Chain".
- If you have set up the value chain categories Advanced Intercompany Sales Process and Advanced Intercompany Stock Transfer Process, you can have only one entry for each category with process relevance “Delivering Company”.
- If an entry exists for Advanced Intercompany Sales Process with process relevance as "Selling Company", there should be one entry for Advanced Intercompany Sales Process with process relevance as "Delivering Company", and vice versa.
