In this Customizing activity, you define the valid values for material classification codes.

In the Czech Republic, the list of valid material classification codes is defined by law. For the relevant material, you can maintain the classification code in the Controlcode field under the Intl Trade: Exportor Intl Trade: Import tabs in the material master data.

To enable selecting a valid material classification code in this field of the master data, you must define the possible values in this Customizing activity.

Note:

The classification codes for materials are necessary only for reporting reverse charge VAT in the VAT ledger.

• You have chosen the value Classification Code from Material Number in the Classification Code Definition field in the Define Settings for VAT Ledger Customizing activity.

• To enable the system to retrieve the classification code from the material master data, you must have selected the Read Material Settings checkbox in the Define Classification Code for Tax Code Customizing activity.
