In this IMG activity, you create driving license categories according to your needs.

You perform this IMG activity before creating a data record for an employee's driving license in the Documents and Certificates (0290) infotype.

The SAP standard delivery contains default values that correspond to the accepted governmental classification of driving categories. If you want to use these values for your working client, copy them from client 000.

1. Determine your work area.
2. Define a category group and a category for an employee's driving license.
3. Enter the category validity dates.
4. If applicable, enter comments.

Only one category from each category group can be assigned to a driving license.

An employee possesses the A category that allows you to drive all kinds of motorcycles. A1 is for motorcycles with a cylinder capacity not exceeding 125 cubic centimeters and power not exceeding 11kW. Consequently, an employee cannot possess an A and A1 category at the same time. You can only assign one category from a group per a driving license.

The same rule applies to other categories and category groups.
