In this IMG activity, you can define which percentage you want to use for operator P (percentage).

Note
You only need to make this setting if you use derived accrual item types and use operator P in your calculation rules.

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Enter the company code and accrual item type for which you want to define the percentage.
  3. Enter a valid from date from which this percentage is valid.
When calculating and posting accruals, the Start of Life date that is entered in the accrual object is used to determine the percentage.
  4. Enter the percentage you have chosen.
  5. Save your settings.

If you want to keep the number of table entries to a minimum, you can leave certain columns empty. In this case, entries are valid for all objects referred to in that column. For example, when you create an entry in the table, you can leave the Company Code, Accrual Item Type and/or Valid From columns empty. The value then means that this entry is valid for all company codes, accrual item types and/or dates.

You want to accrue costs (accrual item type COSTS). In addition to the costs, you also want to accrue the interest for this amount. To do this, you have to make the following settings.

  1. In IMG activity Define Accrual Item Types, create an additional accrual item type INTRST (interest).
  2. In the same IMG activity Define Accrual Item Types in section Calculation Rules for Derived Item Types make the following entries for accrual item type INTRST.
  • Accrual item type: INTRST

  • Sort number: 1

  • Operator: Percentage

  • Referenced accrual item type: COSTS

  1. Now define the chosen percentage in this IMG activity.
