For the general contract, you determine here which fields are:

• Required entry fields

• Optional fields

• Display fields, or

• Hidden, because you do not require them for your purposes

when maintaining the master data.

You have to make these settings for each activity (create/change/ display):

1. For the master data dialog in the application itself
2. And also for the defaults for each contract type in Customizing
