In this activity you make settings that apply to user administration that is carried out by mobile phone (WAP Browser). This activity is only necessary if you wish to use the WAP Service for user administration.

The WAP Service for user administration (technical name: WAPBBPUSER) is accessible to users that are assigned to one of the following roles:

  • administration role SAP_EC_BBP_ADMINISTRATOR
  • a role that contains miniapp WAPBBPUSER

You can make the following default settings for actions in the WAP Service:

  • For the action Create User:
    You create a line with the following parameters (the entry updates the BBP_CUST table):
  • Organizational unit:
    Key EBP_WAP_DEF_ORGUNITand as a value, the number of the organizational unit (for example, 50000061)

  • Country:
    Key EBP_WAP_DEF_COUNTRYand as a value, the ISO code of the relevant country (for example, DE for Germany, US for USA). This entry is optional if you have already specified a default country for EBP users in the previous activity.

The WAP Service always assigns all new users to the organizational unit set up here and to the default country.
  • For the action Reset Password:

    When the password is reset, the system normally sends a newly generated password to the user by e-mail. In cases where no e-mail address exists, the password is displayed to the administrator. If you want the administrator to always see the password and the system not to send an e-mail to to the user, then you must create the following line (the entry updates the BBP_CUST table):
  • Key EBP_WAP_SEND_PW and value NO.

  • For the action Extend Validity of a User:
    Normally this WAP Service action extends the user validity by seven days. You can change this value by defining a different number of days. To do this, you must exit this activity, call up Transaction SM30 and enter the following value in table BBP_COL:
  • Key WAP_EXTEND_DAYS and as value, the desired number of days.
