SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity, you specify the document categories for the entry documents for disposal processing in the Waste Management component. For each document category, you can enter the following data and therefore control, for example, data entry and further processing in disposal processing:

  • You can specify an internal number range from which the system assigns numbers for entry documents in this document category.
  • You can specify an external number range from which you can assign numbers for entry documents in this document category.
For more information about number ranges, see the documentation for the Specify Number Ranges IMG activity and the application help.
  • You can specify whether application toolbar functions can generally be executed for entry documents in this document category, in other words, whether the pushbuttons in the application toolbar and the appropriate menu entries under Edit are available in disposal processing for entry documents in this document category.
  • Under Application Toolbar per Document Category, you can specify which functions can be executed for entry documents in this document category, in other words, which functions are displayed in the menu under Edit and on the pushbuttons in the application toolbar. You can specify a maximum of nine functions for the menu, and the system displays the first six of these in the application toolbar. Furthermore, you can specify the sequence in which the functions appear in the menu and on the pushbuttons.
  • You can specify whether functions in the function list can generally be executed for entry documents in this document category, in other words, whether the function list is available in disposal processing for entry documents in this document category.
  • Under Function List per Document Category, you can specify which functions can be executed for entry documents in this document category, in other words, which functions are displayed in the function list. You can specify a maximum of 99 functions and also specify the sequence in which the functions appear in the function list. For each function, you can also specify the activity for which the function is available.
Note:
You define the functions for the application toolbar and the function list in the Specify Functions IMG activity.
  • You can use the Inv. mgmt actv indicator to specify whether you can post waste quantities to inventory management as stock from disposal processing (see the Further notes section).
  • You can specify whether you can enter wastes with a batch number from disposal processing in Waste Management.
  • You can specify a base unit of measure that is automatically proposed in disposal processing for entry documents in this entry document category. The base unit of measure is also used in reporting for these entry documents if you have not entered another unit of measure for reporting.
  • For the screen on which you enter the search parameters for searching for entry documents of the document category, you can specify a program name and a screen number and thus provide individual screens for the entry document search for the individual document categories
Note:
The structure EHSWAS_ENTAMSEL contains the fields that are available to you for searching for documents. This means that only these fields are taken into account during the entry document search.

In order for you to be able to specify the relevant number ranges, you need to have authorization for the number range object EWA_ENTAM (number range for entry documents in Waste Management). This object is checked in the authorization object S_NUMBER (object class BC_Z).

In addition, you must make the required settings in Customizing for Inventory Management.
