This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in SAP Global Trade Management(SAP GTM) in the Global Trade (LO-GT) component.

You can use it in the area of assignment management to control which materials are allowed when an item either has follow-on items or when it is derived from another item.

Note

If you do not implement this BAdI the material cannot be changed if the current item has follow-on items or is derived from another item.

A trading contract for load is created with reference to a trading contract for load planning. To replace the material in one of the involved items (either in the trading contract for load or in the trading contract for load planning), you have to implement method IS_NEW_MATERIAL_COMPATIBLE. The method must be implemented because the item of the trading contract for load planning has follow-on items and the item of the trading contract for load has a predecessor.
