In this Customizing activity, you assign relevant condition contract types to field combinations representing a list of business volume selection criteria (BVB list).

If you have made entries for such a field combination, you can only enter those condition contracts with one of the assigned condition contract types as business volume selection criterion. If no entry is maintained, condition contracts with all condition contract types are allowed.

Thus, this configuration prevents you from entering an operative condition contract or a condition contract of another list type for a certain BVB list field combination.

You use condition contract type ZLM1 to define a BVB list of materials. You have also defined field combination ZBVM to enter a list condition contract with materials in an operative condition contract. You assign condition contract type ZLM1 to field combination ZBVM to prevent, when maintaining an operative condition contract, that you enter a condition contract for field combination ZBVM that does not represent a list of materials.
