In this Customizing activity, you define and configure the profiles for the determination of business volume data used in the condition contract settlement process.

You control the use of profiles for business volume determination by assigning them to condition contract types.

You have defined the following control parameters that you want to use in the profiles for business volume determination:

Basic settings for the main business volume table:

  1. Choose dialog structure Profiles for Business Volume Determination to define profiles for the determination of business volume data with the corresponding description.
    1. To enter descriptions for a profile in other languages, select a line in the Profiles for Business Volume Determination table and choose Goto -> Translation.
    2. To enter details in the Profiles for Business Volume Determination table, choose Goto -> Details to open the Details window for a selected profile. Here, you can enter the business volume table, the supplier, the customer, the date field name as well as further field names and parameters for the data selection according to your needs.
  2. Select a line in the Profiles for Business Volume Determinationtable and choose dialog structure Amount Fields to specify the data transfer from business volume data to the pricing procedure of settlement documents.
Choose New Entries to create a new entry in the Amount Fields table. Specify the amount field for which you want to transfer data.
Specify the target condition type in the pricing procedure that is used for the condition contract settlement.
Optionally, specify an amount fields group.
  1. Choose dialog structure Split Criteria for Settlement to specify fields for which you want to split business volume determination for settlement.
For the entry of a split criterion, specify the field name of the business volume table in the Field Name column, the level of the split (Head or Item) and the target field for the split in the settlement document.
Note: For technical reasons, the field help of the Field Name column in this dialog structure cannot be restricted to the business volume table of the profile. So, in principle, it shows all possible fields defined in the Data Dictionary. SAP recommends that you manually enter the business volume table as a restriction for the field help when you want to see allowed fields.
Note: The field help of the Target Field for Split column also shows in principle all fields defined in the Data Dictionary as a restriction is not possible because allowed fields depend on the level for the split. However, the system checks an entry against the fields of structure KOMZRKE Communication Structure for Settlement Document Header Data / KOMZRPE Communication Structure for Settlement Document Item Data when you have chosen Head / Itemas the level for the split. To see allowed target fields, you can specify structure KOMZRKE or KOMZRPE as a restriction for the search help depending on the level for the split.
When you also want to split the accruals reversal, specify a field name in the Field Name Accruals Reversal Split column. Make sure that split criteria for the accruals reversal are consistent with the split criteria for the settlement. This means that you may not specify a granularity that is finer than for the granularity for the settlement. Usually, you use split criteria representing the same granularity.
Note: The unit of measure and the currency used for the business volume are always split criteria. You cannot avoid a split due to these predefined split criteria.

Settings for the usage of additional business volume tables:

  1. Choose dialog structure Relevant Selection Groups to specify selection groups for the profile.
  2. Choose dialog structure Relevant Business Volume Table Groups to specify relevant business volume table groups for the profile.
  3. Choose dialog structure Additional Business Volume Tables to specify additional business volume tables for the profile.
In the Additional Business Volume Tables table, specify the settings similar to the main business volume table.
  1. Optionally, choose dialog structure Exclude Columns for an additional business volume table to exclude certain columns.
  2. Optionally, choose dialog structure Assign Selection Groups for an additional business volume table to assign selection groups.
Make sure that you only assign selection groups that you have specified in dialog structure Relevant Selection Groups.
