In this Customizing activity:

  • You use the Relative Date Description to create the language dependent descriptions that will be displayed in the UI search criteria as the date values.
  • You create the Relative Date Definition for each GenIL component. The Relative Date ID comes from the component handler via the field F4help. This will also provide the Operatorinformation for the relative date. The handler is also responsible for the component dependent calculation process of the relative date. If a handler is not implemented, the provided default is used. Use the BAdI: Relative Dates Handler to define your relative dates componet handler.
  • To make an assignment for Dynamic Queries, first you have to set the Relative Date Definition for the component. Then,
  • You select the query from the list in the Dynamic Queries and view the Default Relative Dates for Dynamic Query for all of the attributes of a corresponding UI Framework advanced search.

  • You set the Exceptions per Dynamic Query Attribute so that the default setting will not be valid for particular attributes.

  • You have defined the relative date operators for dynamic queries and attibutes in the Define Operators for Dynamic Queries Customizing activity. Operators EQor BT must be enabled.

The WebClient UI Framework delivers some predefined relative date descriptions. These Description IDs are named with WCF*.
