In this Customizing activity, you can add your own JavaScript (JS) files on top of the JavaScript files provided in the SAP system.

Instead of changing backend files, you can simply create a JS file and change, for example, quick info texts or create your own mini-calendar, which is started when you click the date selection.

You can add several JavaScript files and define the priority that determines the ascending order in which the files are loaded.

In this Customizing activity, you can define the path (URL) where your JavaScript file is located. If you add a JavaScript file, it overwrites the standard JavaScript file provided by SAP. You can use the following formats to enter the URL for the JavaScript file:

• Absolute path: http://test.com/tooltip.js

Note

Be aware of protocol warning messages issued by the browser if used with https sessions

• Relative path: /sap/bc/bsp/sap/zcust_js/calendar.js

Note

If you add your own JavaScript files, you need to ensure that the syntax of these files is correct. Otherwise the WebClient UI cannot be displayed correctly and the user is informed of syntax errors.
