In this IMG activity, you can define:

·,,Fiori Launchpad (FLP) catalogs.

·,,Target IDs used in the FLP catalogs.

·,,Function profiles to be used when navigating via FLP to Web Client UI Framework (WCF).

·,,You have catalogs defined in the FLP frontend system which contain target mappings to launch WCF applications.

·,,You have tiles defined in the FLP catalog which contains target IDs as URL parameters for corresponding WCF applications (URL parameter wcf-target-id).

·,,Backend system:

The backend system is the S/4HANA system with your relevant WCF and implementing applications software components installed.

·,,Frontend system:

The frontend system is the system where the FLP and relevant catalogs are defined. The catalogs should be defined with target mappings and tiles to launch WCF Applications. A business role (PFCG role) contains these WCF catalogs and others.

The backend authorization role contains the list of catalogs as needed for the business role in the frontend server. At runtime, those catalogs in the backend PFCG will be used to match catalogs in this IMG activity which will be relevant for the user session (e.g. function profiles). For the initial set up, the catalogs in PFCG role will be used in combination with this IMG activity to generate the authorization profiles using report WCFD_UI_FLP_BR_PREPARE.

Create entries for the FLP catalogs:

For each catalog in frontend business role that targets WCF applications, create a new entry.

Create entries for the WCF target IDs:

For each catalog, assign the target IDs that are used (e.g. in the FLP catalog tiles). This list is critical for the authorization profile generation.

Create entries for the WCF function profiles:

For each catalog, define the function profiles and values that should be used in FLP integrated mode. Please note if the user is assigned multiple catalogs, in the runtime, all the function profiles will be loaded. A warning message will be displayed if there are conflicting function profiles and system will consider the first value found.
