Use this activity to define the daybreaker, the time when one business day ends and the next begins. All time and day sequences in the system are based on the daybreaker and the day on which the week starts. You set the first day of the business week in the activity Define Start of Week.

The time you use to indicate when one day ends and the next starts can be different than the standard day ending at 24:00 (12:00 midnight). For example, if your daybreaker is 04:00 (4:00am) your reporting on the day can include values generated from end-of-day processing.

You can only define one daybreaker for your organization. All locations use the same daybreaker.

  1. Enter the time in hh:mm format. The values must be between 12:00am and 11:45am.
  2. Save your entries.

Note: We recommend you do not change the daybreaker setting once you have finalized your configuration. Once you begin using Workforce Management to either create and maintain schedules or generate forecasts, changing the time in the daybreaker setting can cause problems with past and current schedules and forecasts.
