Use this activity to define query categories. Query categories help you categorize your location's organizational units when working in Site Maintenance. You can create up to 20 query categories for your implementation.

You see the query categories for the organization unit within Site Maintenancewhen you are displaying an organizational unit and click Access Query Category Value Classification. Then when viewing the Query Category, click Display <-> Change to choose or change categories for the organization unit.

  1. Change the default text in the Field Label to the query category name.
  2. Optionally, change the default Long Description text.
  3. Select the Visibleindicator. When set to True, this query category is visible in the Query Category area for organizational units within Site Maintenance.
  4. Optionally, enter the Parent ID.
  5. Choose the query category entry.
  6. Click Add/Edit Selection.
  7. Enter a Selection Value, the query category entry selection listed in the field help for the query category.
  8. Optionally, enter a long description.
  9. Click Addand enter additional query entry selection values as required.
  10. When complete, save your entries.
  11. Click Assign Parameter Groups.
  12. Click on a query entry selection value in the table.
  13. Display the alternate mouse button menu and choose Assign Parameter Groups.
  14. At the Pick a Parameter Group Type pop-up, choose the parameter group type you want to add to the selection value.
  15. Click Confirm(the check mark).
  16. You see a list of the parameter groups available for the type you selected where you choose the parameter group from the list.
  17. Click Confirm(the check mark).
  18. You see the parameter group added to the selection value.
  19. Add additional parameter groups as required.
  20. When complete, save your entries.
