Use this activity to set the RFC destinations used within WFM.

  • You can use SAP CRM and SAP HCM to provide other data or processing capabilities within WFM and you use this activity to define the RFC connections if connected to either system. Additionally, you can set flags to control specific integration actions between WFM and HCM.
  • You can also set the target system you want to use when comparing customizing data from within Solution Manager.

You must transaction SM59to define the RFC connections to the system(s) to which you want to connect.

  1. Choose New Entries to define a new RFC connections definition, or select an existing profile to maintain its values.
  2. Choose the destination system from input help.
  3. Enter the name of the application system or choose it from input help.
If you are defining either a customizing comparison destination or an SAP CRM application system, you do not define any processing flags.
  1. When using SAP HCM as a back-end system, you can optionally set the following flags to control specific integration actions between WFM and HCM:
    1. Automatically Upload Time-off Requests Dataflag -- when set, changes in time-off requests are automatically uploaded to the HCM system.
    2. Lock Time-off Request Entries in WFMflag -- when set, the Time-Off Requests page in WFM is set to read-only and must enter all time-off data through ESS.
    3. Multiple Pay Lock flag -- when set, the Multiple Paycheckbox on Employee Work Area and Qualification page is disabled as HCM does not maintain multiple pay rates for different work areas, all pay rate information is received from HCM, and pay rates displayed in WFM are read-only. Leave this flag blank to use the multiple pay rate function in WFM.
    4. Date Lock flag -- when set, the Hire Date and Termination Date fields on the Employee Profile page are set to read-only and hire date and termination date information is received from HCM.
    5. Create BP flag -- you set this flag only when:
- WFM and HCM are installed on one logical system.
- HCM and Business Partner integration is enabled.
- You are going to hire new employees as of a future date.
- HCM does not create Business Partners prior to the effective date.
  1. Save your entries.
