WFA_AVAIL_TEMP - Define Availability Templates
PERFORM Short Reference CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES - Frontend ServicesThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Use this activity to define availability templates. Location managers must define the availability for each employee at his or her location. Availability templates contain default employee availability values which can be applied to groups of employees in order to:
- Simplify the employee maintenance process while entering consistent values.
- Reduce the time required to enter and maintain employee availability information.
Entering Times
When entering the Start Timeand End Time,
either enter the times directly into the field or choose field help to scroll to the times in the
Choose Timedialog box. In the Choose Timedialog box, choose the
clock icon to switch your entries between 12-hour format (using amand pm)
and 24-hour format. The system displays times only in 24-hour format. You must enter times in multiples of 15 minutes. You enter midnight as 00:00 not 24:00.
Relative Time
Offsets are based on a relative time rather than a specific time. They allow you to set a start or end time based on the location open or close time. When set as a relative time, you do not have to change the definition should the location open or close times change. The offset definition consists of:
- Time on which the relative offset is based:
- 0 -- no offset
- Open-- an offset relative to the location opening time
- Close-- an offset relative to the location closing time
- Direction to apply the offset:
- + (plus) -- after the time event
- - (minus) -- before the time event
- blank -- there is no offset
- Actual number of minutes to offset
- Choose New Entries to define a new availability template definition profile, or select an existing profile to maintain its values.
- For new entries, enter the Availability Template ID.
- Enter the short description the system uses for display purposes.
- Set the Special Age indicator if the template can only be assigned to a "special age" employee that has an age restriction, such as a minor.
- Optionally, enter a long description.
- Choose the availability template definition and double-click Availability Interval.
- Choose New Entries to define availability intervals or select an existing profile to maintain its values.
- Choose the start day for the availability period from field help.
- Enter the employee availability start and end times for the day plus any offset to the times. See Entering Timesand Relative Time for more information.
- Save your entries.
Make the following entries to set a relative time that is one hour before the time the location opens:
