If you are integrating WFM to mySAP HCM in one logical system, you use this activity to map the HCM Wage Type to the WFM Pay Type. You do not need to perform this activity if you are not integrating WFM to mySAP HCM in one logical system.

In HCM, the pay rate is defined in Wage Type. Wage Type can be either directly or indirectly valuated.

  • Directly valuated wage type amount can be brought directly from HCM and cannot be changed in WFM.
  • Indirectly valuated wage type amount can be maintained in WFM.

In WFM, pay rate is defined in Pay Type.

You must maintain this conversion as wage type and pay type can be defined in different rates. For example, wage type M001is defined as a weekly rate while the WFM pay rate Hourlyis an hourly rate. So the conversion should be 40 ( = 5 working days * 8 working hours per day).

  1. Optionally enter the location. If you do not enter a location, this definition is used for all locations in your organization.
  2. Enter the HCM Employee Group and Subgroup.
It is possible to have different sets of pay rate mapping by Employee Group and Subgroup. If all Employee Groups and Subgroups are using the same pay rate mapping, either enter *in these fields or leave them blank.
  1. Enter the HCM wage type.
  2. Choose the WFM pay type from field help.
  3. Enter the convert rate. This rate is used to calculate the WFM pay rate from the HCM wage type amount.
  4. Select the Indirect Valuation Wage Type indicator if the wage type amount cannot be transferred directly from HCM to WFM. In this case, you have to maintain your pay rate in WFM, so managers can edit the field Pay Rate on the Work Area and Qualifications page from within the manager's portal. Do not select this indicator if the wage type amount can be transferred from HCM to WFM and you want to prevent managers from changing the pay rate on the Work Area and Qualification page.
  5. Save your entries.
