In this IMG Activity, you define job functions and their corresponding levels. Once job functions and levels are defined, you can then assign one or more job functions with a given level to a service arrangement. These assignments are valid for a specified time period. You can assign service arrangements to multiple job functions, but only one level for a single job function is valid at any given time.

An existing job function cannot be deleted if it is used by a service arrangement.

A job function "consultant" is defined with a levels "senior" and "junior". A second job function "technician" is defined with a levels "gold", "silver", and "bronze."

A service arrangement can then be assigned the job function "technician" level "bronze" from July 2001 thru Dec 2010, "consultant" level "junior" from July 2003 thru December 2004, and "consultant" level "senior" from January 2005 onwards.
