This Business Add In (BAdI) is used in Settlement Management (LO-AB) component to determine the business place on settlement management document item level.

The BAdI is not called for Condition Contract related settlement processes because the business place will be derived from the business volume table if the split criteria are maintained correspondingly.

As of standard, the BAdI has a default implementation to determine the business place based on the country/region key due to legal requirements. The country/region key is derived from the company code of the settlement management document. In the case that you deal with intercompany settlement documents, the system will determine the related business place based on the country/region key of the second company code.

Please note that the system will use the international standardized country/region key as the country/region key value in accordance with ISO 3166.

If the standard business place determination does not fulfill the business requirements, implement your own determination logic. Consider the filter function of the BAdI when you create your own determination logic.
