With this Business Add-In (BAdI), you can prevent the accrual of expected shrinkage in periods without inventory count. This may be useful during the RMA calculation for an alternate period (for example a week), if there is no accrual for the larger FI-relevant period (for example a month) due to the fact that an inventory count from an earlier week occurs within this month. This enables you to synchronize the change in stock that is caused by the planned shrinkage for different fiscal year variants.

The prerequisite for the correct use of this BAdI is that you have implemented the BAdI WRMA_ACCESS_ADDITIONAL_PERIOD.

SAP recommends that you implement either this BAdI, or BAdI WRMA_SHRKP_INVENTORY_PERIOD.

The appropriate implementation of BAdI WRMA_ACCESS_ADDITIONAL_PERIOD ensures that the system inserts the associated month into field WRMA_COMM-PERIV2 in the event of a week-based calculation. An appropriate access sequence in the RMA calculation schema then inserts the RMA raw data for the inventory count for this month into the corresponding condition (for example INVD). In table IT_RAW_DATA, the system transfers theses values to the method ADJUST_PLANNED_SHRINKAGE of this BAdI. If such values are available, you can set the planned shrinkage for the current period to zero.
